New Adult Patients

The Initial Assessment

New patients to Oakbrook Behavioral Health benefit from an initial intake assessment with one of our intake coordinators. Each coordinator is a trained therapist whose role is to facilitate a positive therapeutic interaction here at Oakbrook Behavioral Health. During the intake assessment significant information is compiled from the patient and a psychosocial report is developed. This information is utilized to best address the needs of each patient by developing an initial treatment plan. The assessment is developed with the concerns of each patient in mind. The plan then links the patient to the clinicians with the area of expertise to best meet their needs. Each intake assessment lasts approximately 45-60 minutes, with appointment times readily available.

PLEASE NOTE: If one of our clinicians has seen you at the hospital, partial day program, or in another setting, an intake may still be beneficial since you are new to Oak Brook Behavioral Health.
