Donna Dobrowolsky, M.D.

Medical Director, Adult Services
Board Certified, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Adult Psychiatry

Dr. Dobrowolsky believes that being a physician is not a career, but a vocation:  how one gives of themselves to others based on their talents, gifts, and life experiences.  Together with her training in neurobiology and psychopharmacology, Dr. Donna integrates patients’ life experiences, relationship patterns, and faith backgrounds, taking a mind-body-spirit approach toward healing.

Dr. Dobrowolsky treats numerous psychiatric illnesses with a focus on mood and anxiety disorders, including those that have not responded adequately to previous treatments; women’s issues and postpartum depression; adult attention deficit disorder; post traumatic stress disorder; and cognitive/emotional changes from accidents and medical/neurological conditions.  She also treats chronic pain in collaboration with other health care providers.

Dr. Dobrowolsky is a member of the Neuroscience Education Institute, American Pain Society, and Catholic Medical Association. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1989, where she also completed her Psychiatry Residency in 1993. She is certified as a Diplomate in the Specialty of Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since November 1994, having passed recertification examinations in 2004 and 2014. In addition, she has an advanced psychopharmacology certification from the Neuroscience Education Institute.  Dr. Donna enjoys teaching and is an experienced presenter, with a particular interest in the inter-relationship of spirituality and medicine toward personal healing.
